Sunono Publishing is an independent children’s book publisher established in the UK. We began publishing children’s books in October 2018 with the aim of creating books that encourage children to read and learn Arabic with pleasure. Although Sunono is an Arabic publisher it is not only for Arab children or Arabic language readers.
Sunono publish levelled reading books that helps English readers to learn Arabic from age 10+ with the levelled reading project Arabic for Everyone (Saarah & Saamiyah series)
All Sunono’s books are translated into English. Some of the events in our stories happened in Jordan, Palestine, Dubai and other interesting places around the world. Readers can enjoy reading Arabic stories translated into English meeting hero’s with Arabic names and all sorts of adventures.
We publish high-quality, commercial fiction and non-fiction books for children aged from 0 to 15 by great authors, illustrators and encourage new talent.

We want children to enjoy reading in Arabic. We also want to be sure that non Arab readers enjoy reading Arabic stories translated into English. We want children from mixed cultures to be proud to learn Arabic through our books whether they are native Arabic readers or as a second language.

We believe in introducing multicultural characters within our stories in a global approach. We believe in open-minded children who are proud of their roots and differences.
The Arab Thought Foundation
The Arab Thought Foundation is an independent international non-governmental organization having no association with regimes and no political, party or sectarian affiliations whatsoever. Since its establishment in the year 2000 by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, with the support and competencies of a group of intellectuals, investors and businessmen who believed in its message and principles of enlightenment, the Foundation is committed to instilling pride in the traditions, principles and values of the nation by promoting responsible freedom, reinforcing Arab solidarity and strengthening the unifying Arab identity, while preserving the wealth diversity and plurality.
In its contributions to intellectual and cultural efforts, ATF has adopted an approach based on fostering partnerships and cooperation with complementing relevant organizations, institutions, think tanks and research centers.
ATF has sought to spread knowledge, encourage creativity and innovation, develop structures and mentalities and achieve the objectives of comprehensive and sustainable development, through its various programs, projects, conferences, awards, forums, seminars, books, reports, and other publications.
The Arab Thought Foundation paid special attention to the educational sector, its reform workshop, and the process of its development, which was mainly evident in its project “Arabi 21”.
Arabi21 aims primarily to contribute to the development of Arabic language learning tools, to meet the needs of individuals and Arab society in the twenty-first century.
Arabi21 vision lies in the formation of an Arabic person, who can think in Arabic, and communicate with it to learn, work, live and maintain his identity.

Designing an early reading assessment tool in Arabic “Mubakkir”
Arabi21 Electronic Directory of Classified Books
Short story Competition
Organize several educational conferences aiming at promoting the use of the Arabic language.
Produce and publish a few videos on methods of teaching Arabic language and organizing professional development programs for those involved in its education.
Design a test based on global standards to test Arab students’ capabilities in Arabic language.
Launch several initiatives to encourage children and young people to read and write in Arabic.
Organize a Prize for the best children and youth books under the name of “Kitabi Award”
Suggest and adopt appropriate standards relating to:
The Arabic language curriculum.
Then Leveling of Children Arabic books.
Urge the largest number of Arabic and International publishing houses to use Hanada Taha and Arabi 21 leveling tool to classify their published children’s literature.
Establish a website that includes an electronic guide to children’s books classified by reading levels and internationally approved classification standards, where the user can read book summaries and select appropriate ones.
